DURABILITY TESTS

  • RESISTANCE TO OXIDATION

Test performed according to EN ISO 13438.

A minimum of 10 specimens are cut and leached in 80C hot water followed by a heating period in 100C in laboratory oven. Control specimens are heated for 6 hours. Test samples are heated for 28, 56 or 112 days depending on expected durability (25, 50 or 100 years). After heating period control and test specimens are tested for tensile strength and the after-heating retained strength is calculated. The average ratio of retained strength over control sample strength is the result of the test.
