WIDE-WIDTH TENSILE STRENGTH
Test performed according to EN ISO 10319.
A minimum of 5 rectangular specimens (not smaller than 200x200 mm) are cut in both MD and CD directions. Each specimen is clamped in tensile machine’s jaws spaced 100 ± 3 mm apart. Specimen is pre-stressed to 1% maximum force and stretched until break. Tensile force and elongation are constantly recorder until sample break. The result of the test is the average maximum force and corresponding sample strain in both machine and cross-machine direction.

STATIC PUNCTURE (CBR)
Test performed according to EN ISO 12236.
A minimum of 5 rectangular specimens (not smaller than 250x250 mm) are cut. Each specimen is fixed between two clamping plates and pressed upon with a prescribed 50 mm plunger travelling with a prescribed speed until the sample ruptures. Maximum puncturing force is recorded together with sample deflection. Average puncturing force is reported as test result.

DYNAMIC PUNCTURE
Test performed according to EN ISO 13433.
A minimum of 5 rectangular specimens (not smaller than 250x250 mm) are cut. Each specimen is fixed between two clamping plates and punctured by a 50-mm cone weighing 1 kg, dropped from prescribed height of 500 mm. Diameter of the punctured hole is measured using precisely scaled measuring cone. Procedure is repeated on each specimen. Average diameter of puncture hole is the result of the test.

PEEL STRENGTH OF GEOTEXTILE
COMPONENTS OF A GCLTest performed according to ASTM D6496.
A minimum of 5 rectangular specimens (100x200 mm) are cut in machine direction out of the representative, undisturbed laboratory sample. Geotextile components are manually separated for the first 50 mm at both ends of the specimen and bentonite is removed. Specimen is mounted centrally in tensile machine’s clamps and the geotextile components are peeled apart until 250 mm elongation. The peeling force and elongation are recorded. The result of simple measurement is the average peeling force measured between 50 and 250 mm of elongation while the result of the test is the average of 5 measurements.
